Highway 75 travels alongside the Missouri River and goes all the way from Texas up to the Canadian border. It's got a ton of history and is associated with both the Oregon Trail and the Lewis and Clark expedition.

Plaza in Lyons containing 300 memory tiles of veterans will be dedicated Monday afternoon in Lyons on Main Street. The project — funded in part by the generosity of Lyons-Decatur Northeast students by foregoing prom luxuries this past spring — is designed for all veterans, not just those in Lyons or Burt County.
Summit Lake State Recreation Area includes 345 land acres and a 190 acre lake with boat ramps. Summit offers excellent fishing opportunities for all anglers, and the recent addition of jetties give bank anglers access to deeper water. Bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie and walleye are all stocked in the lake. There is one fish-cleaning station.

To commemorate his life and work, the John G. Neihardt State Historic Site was established on the site of his former home in Bancroft, Nebraska.
